JOINT STATEMENT ON OPERATION STEADY HAND
Rhodesia and Dreccanfell issue this joint statement on recent hostilities involving the individual known as CC.
BACKGROUND
CC was recently released from allied custody following an accidental Vorpal release. It was CC's understanding that, absent terrorist conduct, he would be permitted to remain and play without issue.
In the days following his release, CC recovered portions of his equipment from allied parties. He subsequently undertook retaliatory action against those he perceived as his aggressors — also allied parties — resulting in the death and Vorpal detention of an allied citizen and the seizure of their property
RESOLUTION
Acting on Flock surveillance intelligence, a joint Rhodesian–Dreccanfell element, designated Operation STEADY HAND, located and intercepted CC. Through direct negotiation, the situation was de-escalated without further violence. CC voluntarily surrendered all items obtained from the fallen allied citizen, as well as the weapon used in his detention.
CC has since departed the area. His status remains under review by allied authorities. His Avocado prefrence is also unknown at time.
STATEMENT
Rhodesia and Dreccanfell commend the restraint shown by all personnel involved. This outcome demonstrates that grievances can be resolved without escalation — and that surveillance, coordination, and a willingness to talk accomplish what Vorpals alone cannot.
Individuals considering retaliation against allied citizens are advised that joint response elements are active, and that the next interception may not begin with a conversation.
